New School Opening Time – Notice to Parents

Dear Parents,

I wish to inform you that a decision has been made by the Board of Management to bring school opening time forward to 9.00 am as of our return on 27^th August 2014. Pupils will be received at school from 8.50 am. As a result of earlier opening time, infants will go home at 1.40 pm. While first to sixth class pupils will go home at 2.40 pm.

This decision has been made with the very best interests of pupils and parents at heart. We hope that opening on the hour will be of benefit to parents who are trying to get to work in the mornings. Meanwhile, it is hoped that an earlier finish will provide more valuable family contact time in the evenings. As many families are punctual in the mornings we hope that this change will not cause any inconvenience.

Please find a summary below of our new school times which will take effect 27^th of August 2014.

• 8.50 am. Pupils received and supervised at school
• 9.00 am. School starts
• 1.40 pm. Infants go home
• 2.40 pm. First – Sixth class pupils go home
